Hi all,

As some of you know I am not a local US guy and visiting the states from time to time coming over from Germany.
I will be in Florida by end of this month.

In general I will be around Miami, Naples and lower south (celebrating my birthday in Key west).
Coming to the point: Do you have any suggestions on must sees i.e. Customizer or HD dealerships in southern Florida?
Especially I am interested to collect some ideas for my next road glide project, so any help for good custom shops are highly welcome!

Many thanks
Dark

If you make it a little north of Tampa in the middle of January we have a great ralley called Gibtown Bike Fest. Also there is a really good shop here called The Ride Factory. Small shop with very good mechanics and excellent ownership. Have a great trip.

the six bends hd is a huge store in fort myers. in my opinion overrated but thats because I've dealt with them a million times and not the best customer service but it is a cool store with many nice bikes. want a nice ride go and ride North River road from north fort myers to labelle. stop off at the Alva Diner (cash Only) great broasted chicken. Take A ride out to Marco island. there are some beautiful scenes to witness. mostly i tend to ride inland out on back country roads during winter bc traffic is horrible and ppl drive like jerks and old ppl tend to want to merge into your lane while your in it. it just depends what your into. Tin City is a neat little place near downtown naples you might want to check out as well. good luck let me know if you have any more questions.

Cool, thank you for your feedbacks.
I was riding around Florida three times now but never took time to visit some cool locations for customizing.
So if you have still some other shops to recommend, please let me know - especially bagger focussed cusomizer are interesting for me at the moment.

Greetings

Heck, Just got back from the Keys a few weeks ago. Spent two weeks there. Bonita Springs, Marco Island that whole area is nice. Wished I'd knew about North river road. Have a Blast!

You can visit Eddie Trotta's shop in Ft. Lauderdale, I believe it's called Thunder Cycles. Pretty interesting bikes. Chesters took over Bruce Rosmeyer HD in Sunrise, big dealer, it's ok. On weekends there's always at least 100 bikes at Cafe 27 on US 27 just north of Miami. Just depends on what you're looking for. I believe on January 30th there's a Seafood festival in Key Largo, trust me, there will be a lot of bikes there.

Cool, thank you guys - some cool inspirations!

Did the tamiami trail and the key west route for three times now - last one six month before on a '14 sg but never spend time on investigating on some bike hot spots or cool custom shops.

Thanks a lot to all of you my next trip will be more hd minded :)
