I personally don't have any experience with Mutazu, but there numerous others on here that have. All good from what I hear. If you use the search function here on the site it should pull up several threads on it.

I have their stretched bags on my '15 FLT. They were a Christmas gift. The finish was perfect out of the box. I used the stock lids, rather than the new one's. Looking at the supplied lids, I'm not sure you could even mount the hardware as it appears there is a missing mounting point. Other than that, I'm really happy with the fit and quality. The ABS plastic is somewhat lighter/thinner than the stock bags.

I got their fairing lowers. The abs plastic is a little thinner then oem , but for the price you can't complain. Fit & finish was very good. The black paint was perfect.

They've lowered their price on the lowers with speakers from $250-200. Speaker pods down from $125-100. Pods without speakers are $76

Has anyone bought or know firsthand the quality and fit of Mutazu extended saddlebags or tourpaks?

Some say it's flimsy, some say it's not too bad considering the price. While you're looking, check out Fairing Factory as well. Quality is equal or better than HD, price is more on par with Mutazu though. Good luck.

I wouldn't go that far. Slightly thinner. Comparable to most Chinese ABS fairings. I have a full set of those on my CBR954RR. They've held up just fine. The only thing I had to do with those was shoot clear coat over the supplied finish.
With the bags, nothing was needed to help the finish. The paint matches the HD Vivid Black, to a tee.

I have their king tour pack. I bought the bare (no paint or hardware) pack. I like it. I will say it's not as sturdy as the factory pack but it's by no means shit. It does accept factory hardware and is recommended by most that have one to use the factory hardware. You can get them bare like I did or gloss black complete with their hardware and lights. Their costumer service is great and if you tell them you're a member of this forum they will give you a discount. I don't use the one o bought on a regular basis so I wasn't willing to spend a ton of money on one.

Has anyone used the HD premium hinges & latches on a Mutazu pak? Long story & I hate to admit it, but I boogered up my lid trying to get the hinges to fit on my current pak. It's abs & obviously alot thicker than oem so things just aren't fitting. I thought I could do some creative sanding to get the stuff to fit but it ain't happening. Also, are their paks the '06 to 13 style? My detachable mount is for the 13 & back paks.

Thanks

I had a Matazu King tour pak on my '05 Roadglide. Before I even got it out of the grudge the barrel lock fell into a million pieces so I had a local locksmith key a new lock to the original bike keys. The latches were pretty flimsy also so replaced them with OEM.

The bottom developed a big crack so I had to epoxy it up and make a reinforcing plate to bolt inside it. Mine had tail lights & signals. After 1 season the red lenses for the taillights melted into a puddle of goo so I had to replace them. I won't even go into the hassle of getting it painted to match the bike.

When I traded the '05 for my 2015 I just ordered an OEM colour matched tour pak. At the end of the day I think the price comes out about even.

Last year just prior to a trip, I forgot to latch closed the pack, I hit a bump and smashed both latches off. I ran to the local HD dealer and bought a new set of latches. You have to use Matuza's plastic spacer behind the latch, Harleys spacer is too thick because they use a thinner plastic on their pack.

What do you think of the sound of the provided speakers? What amp did you go with?
I didnt get the ones with speakers, just the pods. I have MB quart speakers in them some Infinity speakers in the batwing running off a alpine deck and amp. I am happy with them, easy to hear at 80-90 mph, not that I would ever do that.
I cant see the ones that come with speakers would be that great of speakers, I dont remember how much more they were, but was not much, so I would think they were super...

That's what I was thinking too. But pricing it up at current pricing they're actually cheaper to buy all together if one needed lowers and pods. I plan to use the JBL GTO638 6.5-Inch 3-Way Speakers in the lowers and Hogtunes 4 channel setup in the fairing and saddlebag lids.
