Ahhhh, hahahha, made you look.

No, My Kawasaki........NO WAY my roadglides going on the block. EVER. Not unless I replace it with a new one.

FS: 2003 Green ZRX 5256 Original Miles with Mods. $6000.00 obo

Ok, I went and did it. I put it up on eBay to see what the market will bear. Here's the eBay ad.

2003 Kawasaki Other | eBay

There is also a short video of a walk around and cold start and idling on the eBay ad.

Here's the copy from the ad.

2003 Kawasaki ZRX 1200r

Well, where do we start.

5256 miles.

First, there are only a handful of ZRX's in this country with mileage this low. In fact I only recall seeing one with less in recent memory, it was under 3000 miles and he was asking $8000.

I grew up riding street bikes. Since my first Kawi Triple in 1980 I've had a life long love affair with motorcycles. Typically I have several at once....Since I've owned this bike, I've also had a Modded 83 Suzuki GS1100e, a Hot Rod 74 H2 750 Triple and a HD Electra Glide and a HD Road Glide.

But while it looks fantastic in my garage.....I just don't ride it enough and have come to the conclusion it's time to sell. I'm getting older and fatter and my touring bike just gets all of my attention these days.

I'm a LONG time and well respected member of the ZRXOA forum since 2008. If you don't know about the ZRXOA forum......ZRXOA Home Page check it out. There is NO BETTER resource in the world for the Kawasaki ZRX and the forum is as good a automotive / motorcycle forum as there is out there....and I'm on half a dozen. I'm TurboChris on the forum. Look me up if you care to.

The miles are ORIGINAL. I bought it in July of 2008 off another ZRXOA member who lived in Las Vegas. He was the original owner and when I bought it, it only had 2900 miles on it. Yes, that's not a typo. I'm almost embarrassed to say, but yes, I've only logged just about 2500 miles in the 9 years I've owned it. In my defense most of my riding has been spread out over the other bikes but with the exception of the HD Road Glide, this has outlasted all the others. I did put this on NON OP status in Sept of 2015. I got tired of paying the registration on 4 cars and 3 bikes so I did that to several of them. There are NO penalties or back fees due. The title is clean and clear and in my name. The title and a bill of sale is all you need to walk out of your state office with a license plate.

Personally I prefer the 2003 ZRX over any other year. I like the paint best on the 03 (matched side covers etc ) and unlike the newer ZRX's, this is the last year of the rebuildable front forks. The newer "can" be rebuilt, but it's MUCH more difficult.

When I first bought this bike....the Suzuki, round headlight "Train Light" look was very popular. After having this bike in it's original green configuration for about a year, I took a liking to that look. So around 2009, I pieced together a full set of ZRX body work and had it painted black and installed a GS train light. I carefully packed up all the OEM Green body work into boxes and stored them up in my warehouse. I only pulled it all down and reinstalled it last week to sell the bike.

My point is...the shocks, seat and paint work off this bike....were taken off and stored with only 3xxx original miles on them. They are AS NEW. You simply can't find better condition because you simply WON'T find lower mileage examples. Anywhere.

This bike has NEVER been down. NEVER been tracked. NEVER been driven in the rain. NEVER abused.

Again. The paint and bodywork on this bike are AS NEW. They are PERFECT and with out flaws. Look at the photos. I haven't washed it or waxed it or anything. I just unpacked the parts and put them back on.

Incredible.

I will be listing the black body set for sale soon either on here or on the ZRXOA forum.

My reputation on eBay is beyond reproach. Just last year I sold my restored 88 BMW M5 for a record price ($24,900) for a M5 with over 220,000 miles, My 74 H2 750 Triple and several other items. Prior to that I've sold my twin turbo Porsche 2011, my 66 Shelby GT350 clone in 2013, my 06 M5 in 2014, and so on and so on.

Last week as I was preparing to sell it, I noticed that cold starting was taking longer than it used to, so I rode it over to Mach 1 in Costa Mesa, CA

Motorcycle Repair, Insurance Repair & Motorcycle Restoration or see their yelp reviews. https://www.yelp.com/biz/mach-1-costa-mesa-3

and had them go through the carbs. They completely disassembled them, cleaned them, checked everything out and gave it back to me. It ran great before, but now...wow, it starts up so easily and runs soooo good. And power....power for ever. This thing is a beast.

This ZRX runs PERFECTLY.

The oil was changed in the last 100 miles....about 6 months ago. It has the Murphs oil filter conversion, also known as the Bergman Engineering Spin On Oil Filter Adapter. It's $150 but I highly recommend it and makes changing the oil/filter a snap. More info here Murphs' Kits - Welcome to Murphs' Kits Online Store

Here's a list of the modifications that I have made to the bike. None of these have any effect on reliability, basically just some of the more popular mods that are frequently done and I've learned about in my years as a member of the ZRXOA.

BRAND NEW Fairing windscreen $100

Bergman Spin On Oil Filter Conversion $150

Muzzy Header and Pipe $800

Dyno Jet Kit $150

A.P.E. Pod Filters $75

L.E.D Taillight with Integrated Signals / Relay etc $75

Smaller Front Signals $40

Red LED Running Lights Underneath $30 (See Video)

Greg Couch S.S. Braided Oil Lines / Annodized Fittings $125

Teds Battery Out Conversion Kit - You can fit a gallon of milk or a jacket under the seat with this! $100

Shorai LFX Lithium Battery - 5 year Warranty - Custom Mounted behind Side Cover - 2.5lbs - VERY Custom and VERY Cool! $180

Kwicks ELS Custom Shorai Battery Mounting Bracket $40

Galfer SS Brake Lines $130

Rear Spools $15

Champs Sliders $45

Front and Rear Stands $125

Kleen Air Delete

Greg Couch Block Off Plates $30

Stick Coil Conversion $100

Mark444 Allen Bolt Change Over Kit Including Carbs $35

LED Hi/Lo Headlight Conversion $50

PowerBronze Custom Painted Under Tail Kit $300

Kwicks ZX11D ECU Diode Pack $15

Pazzo Adjustable Brake/Clutch Levers $150

ZX10 ECU Conversion (Fully Soldered / Factory Harness Integrated with Factory Plugs) $200

Kwicks ZX11D +2º Timing Advancer $60

Quarter Turn Throttle Conversion $65

Kwick Custom K-Tric Delete Cover $10

Kwick Parts Rebuilt petcock $5

On/Off Fuel Valve $10

Radiator brackets $30

Dangerous Doug Bungee Spools $45

I see here a total of over $3000 in parts NOT including labor like the HOURS spent properly doing the ZX10 ECU conversion with OEM like quality or the Stick Coil conversion and pulling out the CA emissions mess or the custom install of the Shorai battery under the side cover or the Jetting and Tuning of the carbs. You would easily spend another $1000 to have a shop do this stuff. And I KNOW I'm forgetting more stuff somewhere. There's just too much to remember and list.

Here's some pics

Bottom line? Needed the money. Business is slow and I've started a new venture and it's been bleeding me dry for a year. Same as the ZRX.....even tho I don't ride it much it's much loved WHEN I do. The H2 was one of those "I'll never sell objects" My First bike was a 400 triple then a couple 750's. ALWAYS loved em. So when I had a chance to pick one up about 10 years ago I jumped on it. But you know what? Compared to modern bikes? Those things are work to ride. But I've NEVER owned a bike that got more comments!

Good luck with your sale but your still an asshole for making me look...

What? Zero Suspension, Zero Brakes with a light switch power band with no engine braking? Kids these days have no idea what a 2 stroke on the street (or dirt) was like to ride - I never owned one but had the chance to rip one for a day and those H2s made you pay attention......and pray......but that sound....god damn that sound - All my 2T time was spent in the Dirt

Good on ya Bro and I wish ya the best.
