I purchased the same Santee Apes that you’re running, but have yet to install them. I travel a lot with my job and the last couple times I’ve been home I didn’t want to down the bike. When I do install the bars (soon) I am planning on using steel a braided clutch cable and brake lines. I was wondering if you have any idea how much extra length I would need to run the cables routed in stock configuration. I have seen +6 clutch cables and I am thinking that is going to be a bit much. I was told by a local custom bike shop that my best bet would be to mount the bars, measure my stock cables and lines, and then figure out how much extra I need in order to get it right the first time. Just don’t want to down the bike until parts come in. Wondering what your guesstimation on cable and brake line length would be to route everything in stock configuration?
Also love the looks of your seat and have been looking for something along the same lines, but have been worried about the comfort level. I have been leaning toward either a Danny Gray or LaPera solo but I ride a lot (12,000 miles in the last 10 months) and don’t know if the minimalistic seat would cut it for me….
