I recently did an upgrade to my 05 RG. Did the following:
o power acoustik CA4-1600D amp,
o alpine Type S 6.5's.
o kenwood KMR-M312BT

When my bike is at the on position, the speakers sound great. Nice loud and crisp. BUT as soon as I cut the bike on and try to reach the same volume, it'll start to skip as if I have a bad CD playing. I usually play with Bluetooth, or USB. Max volume is 35 and I can only play at 29 before music starts to skip.
I've contacted crutch field for their advice and other audio shops. I don't know what else I should do! Has anybody else experience this? If so what did you do???
Thanks in advance

the system is probably clipping Im not familiar with your amp if it has a gain control try turning it down until the problem goes away . you may also want to check voltages when running and not running make sure your not under power when bike is off or over with bike running
