I own a 2011 Road glide with 2500 miles on it. I bought it a month ago with 1300 miles. My dealership wants to charge me to adjusting the bearings I have a warrantee an extended warranty and a service contract. Why do I have to pay for them to fix something that can be so dangerous?

Welcome to working with most HD dealers. I'd be looking to another dealer and see if they want your reliable business or just your money. i'd also be looking for a indy and asking the parts / service desk person who does work on the side. Good luck - btw doing the adjustment is not that difficult if you have the tools.

Thanks and yes I do most off my own work. But I want to use my warranty for what is covered and the maintenance records help with resale. It's a easy do , it only shakes with the tourpack on and I'm putting my Pickard Trees on soon , and system upgrade. I'm gonna talk to the owner or Service mngr and bust there balls and hope I'm not calling him names by the end of the Convo.

May want to talk to the manager and point out your concern about steering issues as is unsafe to ride. Pointing that out and your extended service they should have no reason to perform the work under warranty. If not call the MOCO.

Lots of info on such issues here on the forum. The link below describes the Service Bulletin that was issued for 09's. Seems bikes later than 09's also had the problem - many of us here did. Armed with that you shouldn't have too hard a time convincing the Service Manager that he's got an obligation to fix this. At HIS or the MOCO's expense.
