Hey everyone, the RG i bought came with the older Harley Road Tech mount (2010ish) but no dam GPS. Im sure the dealer took it but anyways im looking for another GPS that would work with the same mount. I dont need it to be waterproof or anything. Just one that would fit in the cradle. Dam dealer sold me the bike with the mount but no dam GPS......bastards

I just got a regular middle line Garmin and use the suction cup mount it came with and mount it on the gas cap cover on the console.

Yea, it is wired up right to the bike and its mounted on the left bar controls but like i said its like 300-400 just for the gps. I can get a regular car gps for 100 bucks.....just need to find one thatll fit that exact cradle

You don't have a choice. The only GPS units that will fit the mount that you now have is a Garmin Zumo 660 or 665 or a Harley branded Zumo (Road Tech 660 or 665). If you want it to be functional with the Harley Navigation Interface Module (NIM) you must use the Harley branded Zumo's the Road Tech 660 or 665. Of course if you do not have the NIM already installed they now run $170.00.

If you have the 1" ball mount then you can get everything you need to mount any GPS from "Ram Mounts" http://www.rammounts.com
I use a Garmin 1450 and I got my cradle and all the stuff to mount the GPS from Ram Mounts.
There is no need to get a expensive motorcycle GPS, you can use just about any GPS you want or have.

what ironmark said is true. you can use almost any gps you want. i use the garmin 855 nuvi and plug it into the aux jack to get turn by turn directions thru the stereo. I also use the GPS onboard music function and listen to my playlists. No commercials and the directions override the music when necessary for turns. just keep it on aux when navigating. easy peezy!

That does not look like my Zumo 550 mount. Try looking to see if you can read a part number on the mount and then look up compatible units.

Yes that is a quest mount. I had the original Harley Roadtech Quest and soon after new map updates were not available. I bought a quest 2 that fits in the same mount, uses the current style of Garmin maps and can be updated; but it is a pain since there is not enough memory to load the entire U.S.
My suggestion is to start over with a modern GPS. It is important to get a unit that is designed for outside use or it won't last past the first rain storm.

Yeah I actually randomly met the previous owner to my bike on this forum (kind of crazy I know). He told me it was the Harley Road tech quest GPS. I may just take that cradle off and just throw a new one on there. Probably my best bet
