I just purchased twisted 8 speaker lids, hertz sv 200.1 speakers and hertz st 35 horns. I have a pair of hertz hcx 165 for the faring. I'd like to keep just 1 amp for everything. Is that even an option or should I go with 2 amps. Was thinking a diamond 4v2 amp to power everything.

I’m running the micro 4V2 bridged to a set of hertz ml 1650.3. It’s awesome in the bridged configuration, but don’t know anyone using it in a straight 4 channel setup. Just not enough oomph for my liking. The good news is 2 of them will easily fit in a RG fairing.

Thanks roadie... I have the hogtunes 4 channel now (garbage).. I didn't think I could put 2 in the fairing, good to know cause I didn't want to lose any saddle bag space.

The new focal FDP sport (4x175 at 4 ohms) looks awesome based on early reviews, but I have no personal experience with it but am really leaning that way for my new setup. A lot of folks getting great results with the JL amps also.

An older RG? More than one way to put two amps in an older one for sure. 1 micro 4v2 isn’t going to make you happy at 75mph. These are diamond 2v2’s I’m loud at 75 but then it’s all in front of me also.

2015 special I don't think I have that room. I do a lot of NY to NC and I hate that I can't hear the radio, so I'm trying to just enjoy the 14hr ride.

I have mine mounted long-ways between the radio bracket and headlight tabs. It's so snug I don't even have velcro or zip ties, it just sits there. It will also fit in the cubbies by each speaker as long as you don't have a CB or XM module in there already. (google "2 Diamond micro 4v2 in 2015 RG fairing" and it will come up on the other forum)

There are also amp trays that work well under the radio. I had my BT amp under there with plenty of room. If I go with the Focal that's where it will be mounted.

How much power do you need to push the SV200? I think 150-175 would be fine for the HCX 165 and you can get that from a few 4 channel amps, just not sure it'll be enough for the 200s in the back.

I have the Biketronics titan II's in the fairing, Hertz sv200 in the lowers powered by a biketronics 2180 amp run in parallel. Plenty loud although not real satisfied with the overall sound.

Thanks again guys. TBH I know nothing about what I need that's why I'm asking. I've been talking to a few ppl and they are saying I def need 2 amps. I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to this stuff but I'm trying to learn a little. I'm really just looking for a clean look all around. If I have to lose a couple of inches in a bag then so be it.
