Any stage 1 breather kit will work just as good as the heavy breather will.
Just pick out the breather type and style you want.
There is no performance advantage between the heavy breather style air filter and a stage 1 K&N style breather because both systems are capable of providing more air flow (CFM) then the bikes engine is capable of drawing in.

I use the round K&N filter and the classic HD round air filter cover and it looks great. There is no issues with the cover hitting my leg.
