Need touring seat suggestions

I need a new touring seat and I'm looking for recommendations. I had my Street Glide Sundowner seat Butt Buffered ($250) and was really disappointed! After only an hour, my co-pilot and I both had sore butts!?!?

I've heard good things about Mustangs super touring seats but wanted to get more feedback before pulling the trigger. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated.

Got A tall boy

The Tall boy seat I had for my 03 Ultra was alot nicer than the new tall boy.
In the 03 it was deeper by 1.5" and had a slot for a back rest, New tall boy sits not only sits higher but has an 45 degree sweep. I like it but not as much as the 03-07 mod. check out my pics. in album if ya want to see diff.
The road zepplin for touring is the best imo. I have one on my 05 and I love it, so does the gf.
Nice comfy seat

2010 Road Glide I'm 6'2" 34 inseam. Stock seat OK but have to move all the way back (sit on the hump). Then purchased Mustang Tripper, Awful very uncomfortable, sent it back. Then purchased Drag Specialties Solo bucket seat, Awful uncomfortable. So now my choice was Mustang wide solo or the Harley Tallboy. Decided to go with the Harley Tallboy. Fantastic The most comfortable seat I have ever been on. But the rear passenger section is ugly, looks like I can put a pot belly stove on it. even put a back driver back rest on the seat. Man it is way comfortable. Just to let you know I live in N.Y. My dealer is in CT. 3 hours and 145 miles away. I know go to the shop just to say Hello. So what did I learn from all this.
Cool isn't COMFORTABLE !!!!!!!!!
I will post pics soon....
Just installed the Harley Hammock. No kidding, my butt started laughing it was so happy...

Another endorsement for the Hammock! Some one else said sexy ain't comfortable!
The Harley-Davidson Hammock seat is NOT, I repeat, NOT SEXY! It is and looks like a Davenough sofa couch. Quite comfortable but is best viewed from a far distance!
The fat But of the Hammock is not as noticeable with a tour pak mounted. SEXY NOT!!! but my azz and neck thank me!
I need a new touring seat and I'm looking for recommendations. .....

I just got the '11 RGU that came stock with the most comfortable stock Harley seat I've ever spent time on. I think it's the same one they use on the Ultra Classic Electra Glide.
Be careful with the Mustangs. They tend to move you further away from the bars and controls (at least the solos in my experience), so you may find yourself too far back. I have a Mustang solo on the fat Bob,and I also had one on the Sportster, (and they are great seats for me) but on the touring bikes, I've heard they move you back. I don't need to change my position.

I'm 6' and 215lbs,and 30-31 inch inseam, and the stock seat fits me almost perfectly, riding position wise, but after 19k miles the foam seems to be giving too much, so I sent my stocker in to Mean City Cycles for a rebuild with memory foam.

I'm getting double Memory Foam for me,and single, but keep the exact same height, and memory foam for the passenger, and asking them to move me forward 1/2-1 inch from the stock position. Seat has shipped back to me, and will be here this Saturday,so I'll let you know how it feels when it gets back.

Total cost is about $220.

In the words of the Late Great Ted Knight......WELLLL WERE WAITINNGGG!:p

Hi All.
I've fitted a police seat with the air bladder with a Harley backrest fitted to it, may not be pretty but its bloody comfortable:):) especially as I'm 6'6" and 350lbs
I had a Corbin dual touring (heated) on my last bike. Rider and passenger backrests. Really liked it. Watch Dennis Kirk, sometimes they have them on "closeout", or check Ebay.
I guess I'll add my 2 cents. I've had stock, Mustang, Corbin, and currently am running a Sundowner on my 10 RGC. I've put 19,000 on in a year and my butt is good to go. But I'm thinkin bout the new HD Hammock.

I don't personally have a hammock but have about 50 miles on one and it was amazing. Just can't get past the high cost that HD is charging for it.
Went with the Comfort Stitch last year, the pocket is so deep, actually considering selling my backrest... it is wide and THERE but the Missus and me are impressed for long haul somfort. I even sold her AirHawk. Don't know why it's listed as Road King, just scroll down and you'll see Road Glides.

I put a mustang on my 09, my wife and I have put some miles on it, she loves her part but I find myself having butt burn way before she does, so I am sending my seat to Mean Cycles where they are going to work their magic on it.
I have had a long conversation with HD about their new Hammock seat, but wife is afraid her fit will change, so one more reason to have Mean Cycles rework my portion.

Great looking seat, Mike. About how much would a setup like that run? Is the seating position at stock height? Really nice look!

I forget the exact amount but it was a LOT less than Mustang and Corbin. And for me a LOT more comfy. I've had both Corbin and Mustang Touring seats and for me this is the winner, hands down!
Seating is about an inch lower and an inch back over stock but ALL C&C seats are made to order and if you tell them how you want it, then that's what they'll do. If you call Chuck ask for a discount. I know they give 10% for HDF, they ought to do the same for RG.org...
