Motor...
I'm sure you do! But let's be real, you don't have an ST anymore do you!? :wink:I love mine
Before I decided to have the 120ST put in my bike I asked the performance guy at my dealer about this. He laughed and said that this crank would hold up with no issues. After a proper tune and break in I have tested his theory a few times and so far it has taken the punishment. Depending on the surface it will either smoke the rear tire or if I get good traction it will bring the front end off the ground. I really don't plan to do this type of start anymore as I just wanted to see what it would do but if I do and it breaks, I will just take it back to them and call him out on it. Don't think I will have to though and I'm happy with the way they have taken care of me so far. I've treated them with kindness and they have returned the favor several times. I feel very lucky to have a dealership like this after all the bad stuff you hear about.Just be careful not to lock up the brakes without the clutch pulled in and dropping the clutch from dead stop with high rpms. These cranks have been known to twist with all the torque and displacement. Enjoy
Not a particularly good idea, regardless of who makes the motor.Just be careful not to lock up the brakes without the clutch pulled in and dropping the clutch from dead stop with high rpms. These cranks have been known to twist with all the torque and displacement. Enjoy
When I installed my 120ST I did nothing to the tranny , I already had a Barnett Scorpion Clutch installed so I didn't need to do anything to it eitherWhat else did you do beside the motor swap? Any clutch upgrades or tranny upgrades?
I upgraded the clutch to the SE clutch. The dealer said the stock tranny would work. I already had the SE tuner. What else did you do beside the motor swap? Any clutch upgrades or tranny upgrades?
