New 330w RMS J&M ROKKER XXR Amplifiers

John - What can you tell me about J&M's use of Class G amplifier design with the XTP Class G vs. Class D used with the new XXR amps. Is J&M moving away from Class G? I've read about both designs, and thought Class G might have some sound quality advantages, but wanted to get your thoughts J&M's selection of Class D vs. G pertaining to sound quality, efficiency etc, or if J&M plans the XTP amps are going to be replaced by Class D versions.

I just purchased the 500W 4 channel Class G XTP amp along with the 5x7 Rokker XX speaker lids. I'm afraid I just bought the old model, like I did with the 180W amp speakers right before the Rokker stuff came out.

Thanks...

McGruder ,,,,,

there are NO plans to replace the 500w ROKKER XTP class G amp, with a class D version ,,,,,, we have sold many thousands of these amps and they have been very dependable overall ,,,

I personally prefer the class G over the class D, especially with amplifiers in this high power class, as the actual current draw from the bikes electrical system is significantly less ,,,,,,

Is there a reason why the Kit is more expensive than the individual components? Is there something extra in the kit?

It looks like the xxr amp w/xx speakers is $999.99.

The amp by itself is $599.99 and the xx speakers are $389.99.

Also, do you offer a discount for forum members?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply John. It obviously is somewhat comforting to know that my recent purchase is still considered current with no immediate plans for replacement.

Once I get the J&M speaker lids painted, it's time to install them along with the amp (and Daymaker headlights). I haven't seen anyone else post about your lids, so I'll start a thread when everything is installed, and output levels calibrated correctly.

I have these lids with the 500w amp
And couldn't be happier. It's been about 1.5 years and I driven through
Some heavy rain storms and the system seems to with stand any type of weather. Great sounding system😎😎😎

John,
I emailed you for the discount code.

Has anyone installed this setup that can provide a review? I watched John's video, but would like to hear from someone else before spending close to $1000 on a audio upgrade.

I don't live close to any of the rally's, so i'm not able to listen to a system live.

I've had trouble finding reviews for any of the J&M products online. Not sure why that is.

the very first batch of the new J&M ROKKER XXR 330w 2-ch amps will start shipping on Monday, so I think it will probably be a few weeks before riders get enough experience with it to write a good review ,,,,,,,

from our own testing it is easily one of the most powerful and best performing 2-channel amplifiers available anywhere for your Harley Bagger ,,,,,

and with the special R/G forums VIP discount, it is VERY price competitive when you consider these 330w kits are 100% plug-n-play, with special mounting brackets covering Harley Baggers from 1998 all the way thru 2015 ,,,,,,

14-15 kits here http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=49 ,,,,,
