Hello!! :D

Think mines the only one!!!!!!!?????????? Ahhhhh...No!!!!!!!

Opened my 2012 Road Glide Ultra to install Woods 555 cams today.
I find that the lifter anti-rotation pins are not and never were in this engine!!!!
15000 miles.
A pin goes in each slot circled in first pic.
A pin and the lifter flat the pin is to locate is in my second pic (the correct second pic)
I had bike since new.
Very lucky the lifters never rotated in there bores and gernaded my engine!!!!!!
No warranty claim option as my bike has already been flagged by Mackie Harley Davidson in Whitby Ontario as having mods for a stage one kit I installed.
The original cams were in pretty good shape. Two ramps on original cams are little scored as the lifters had been trying to rotate.
My bike did not start a few times when the engine just seemed to lock up and the started stalled, now I know why!!!
Pics show where missing pins were to be to keep lifters in line with cam and what a pin looks like.
Gosh Darn It !!
Bullshit quality control!!
Glad I modified it as the original build was gonna explode any time!!!!

Take it easy!!!

Opps on second pic!!

Oh man, not good! Good thing you are doing the mods, so you were at least able to catch this. Is this a sign the "bean counters" are running the show? I thought the workers bought the company back from AMF in the 80's?

Did Dat!!

I probably would have pulled it apart and then when reassembling it wondered for 2 days WTF I did with the pins..........
Yep wondered about that to!!

But was curious when they were not there during disassembly.
Then later verified casting and gasket had no witness marks of pin ever being there either!

SHESH!!!!!!!!!

This is no surprise to me ~ quality is a thing of the past, and the MoCo doesn't even seem to care. Good news for me is they have hooked me for the last time on a new one. I'll be buying used from here on out ~ high milers then an S&S 124 and a few other mods, and I'll own what I want and have confidence in it's durability.

I would agree!!

I have dealt with the main company and dealerships on a few things recently and there are disconnected from the customer.
To big and successful now.
They are a bubble that is going to burst like it has in the past.
To bad.... Damn It !!
