Hello all, I'm new here so please don't jump on me if this information has already been posted.

I am looking to upgrade my rides stereo sound. I have been looking at amps and speakers. So any information and experience with these items would be great.

One question I have, is do anyone know the measurements of the space below the radio? The area everyone seems to be putting their amps at. And I read somewhere that someone was putting amps under the voltage and fuel meters. Anyone know the measurements of these areas?

Thanks for all you help!

welcome to the forum, it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish with you stereo upgrade. There are a number of proven winners in the market for amps and speakers but that's really dependent upon what the end game is going to be. As far as space available, there's a much space as you're willing to make. Again, it all depends on the end game and how much power you're trying to run. Some of us have 3 amps and a DSP in the fairing and other crap in the torupak. The vast majority are content with a nice compact amp above the headlight. Here's an example of what you COULD fit in the fairing. There's 6 smashed in here.

The end game goal is to be loud and proud! Trying to keep as much out of the tourpak as I can. Right now am looking at what I can accomplish when I do it. The old saying, "measure twice, cut once". I like your pic there cpbedor. Very envious here. I have read up to three fitting in there, but five, that is incredible! But that is all I can find, is reading about others. And mostly they place the amps under the stock radio (which I have been planning to keep). I was just wondering if anyone has the measurements to that area for my shopping venue. But, after seeing your pic there, I think I am going to do some measuring myself, and see what I can put together. Thanks bundles for the pic there cpbedor!

I split them, took out most of the fins inside and sealed them when I put them back together. Mat on the outside of those pods is useless because it’s dense as hell but mat on the inside is worth the effort.
