Well I finally traded in my 09 Fat Bob last Saturday for an 11 Road Glide Ultra, and have to say I am glad I did. The ride is great just have to get used to the extra weight and such. Have V&H Performance duals and Monster Ovals on order and hopefully will be in soon, bike is way to quiet. Was glad to have found this site a lot of good reading. Just looking forward to the many rides ahead.

Congratulations, great looking bike.

How'd you do on the trade in on the Bob? I still have one (an 09 FB in Vivid black) in the garage, and just wondering what kind of value it has.

Sweet bike! I agree that the stock pipes are too quiet. I found an old set of SE Slip-on's in my garage and threw them on the bike until my custom pipes came in. It took about 2 1/2 months and would have driven me nuts keeping the stock pipes on the bike. Welcome.

My FB was vivid black as well had 5800 miles on it got 13K which was happy for had gotten values a lot lower when was looking around.
Thanks that's about what I was thinking it would be worth, so we're in the ballpark, as it were.

Welcome DougK to the forum! I am new to touring bikes also and am enjoying every minute of it. Have told my friends if I knew these bikes were so much better riding I would have got one a long time ago.

Got Pipes, A/C on and what a difference with that still waiting on the fuelpak but sound and performance is exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised how good it sounded without the fuelpak so hopefully will just richen it up as needed.

Since so many in Western PA, we may need to get a ride organized.
