Hello RoadGlide.org! I purchased my 2012 Road Glide Ultra about a month ago. Purchased a three year unlimited mile warranty in the process just to cover my six.
The Bike had a little over 30,000 miles on her when purchased. I've already added 2000 of my own.
It's very obvious the previous owner took great care of her. He added a Stage 1 kit and several aftermarket parts. He documented his travels via stickers in his tour pack lid...including Shark week stickers!
Sadly, the previous owner passed away of a heart attack. He was a young 60 years old. I am already in love with this bike...makes me both happy and sad to think of how much he must have loved it too.
A little about me...I am originally from Louisville KY. Have been living in Indianapolis for about 15 years. I am a Software Developer. I play guitar, sax and percussion. Bands I like...The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, a hell of a lot of Bluegrass and too many other bands to mention. I was in the Army Reserve; MOS was 12B10 (Combat Engineer).
I have two other bikes, 98 Heritage Springer and 06 FJR1300. The FLTRU has a great / unique ride among the others. I do enjoy each for their own characteristics.
I have already reaped benefits from reading posts on this forum. I am sure that will continue to be the case. I hope to have opportunities to add to the communal knowledge I found here. Much Appreciated!
