Being new to street bikes and Harleys, I've learned a lot of great info and tips here from you all. But all the mods you are all doing makes me wonder about the effect on the warranty. I got the 5 year H-D extended plan, but would like to make some changes to the exhaust ( get rid of the cat ) and intake, and probably some sort of fuel management device. Can I make these types of changes and still keep my warranty in effect ? I know this is a pretty basic question, but I'd really appreciate your input. THX !

Yes you can , but all mods done will not be covered unless you have the dealer install them and then it's only for 90 days unless you are still under 20 days from purchase.
Not certain, but I think that has been extended to any parts installed within ninety days from delivery. Some dealers are going out even further as a sales tactic.

For example:

So the warranty coverage on those particular mods would be non-existent I understand, but will it affect the warranty for the rest of the bike ? I don't want to make some change, only to find out the warranty is no longer valid now if something else goes wrong. I don't have any experience with warranty issues yet, so please excuse the dumb questions.
