Did you change grips or have the controls off the handlebars? If so you may have broken the front brake switch.

Also, while its running, check to see if the security key light stays on.

If so, you have an electrical problem somewhere, likely a pinched wire, and most likely to be one of your front turn signals if you've ever had the outer fairing off.

Also, it is possible that the 2 problems are separate issues.

New Bars with wires run through almost a year ago. Hoping like hell it isn't chaffing. All three things associated with right side controls though.......

In most cases one of the brake switches is the problem. There was a recall on the rear brake switch on the newer RGs. Brake light switches will affect cruise control function.
Sometimes the Run/Turn/Stop module can go bad so check that if you have one on the bike but it shouldn't affect the cruise.

So riddle me this Batman. The accessory fuse was blown! I have nothing wired to the accessory harness.
