Ohio Spring ride anyone? June 29th, 2013

DATE, TIME AND LOCATION IS AS FOLLOWS
SATURDAY JUNE 29TH
TIME IS 1:00 give or take. I reserved seating for 30 under my name (Mike) and/or Roadglide.
PLACE is the Route 40 Roadhouse http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/240/1679497/restaurant/Ohio/Rt-40-Roadhouse-Zanesville
for you Faceboogers https://www.facebook.com/pages/Route-40-Roadhouse/209010522470391?fref=ts

We scouted 4 places today and this one will best suit our needs as far as parking, ease of access and seating. We've eaten there before and the grub was good. They SHOULD have extra staff on board that day.

BELOW IS THE LIST OF PEOPLE THAT HAS EXPRESSED INTEREST IN ATTENDING. PLEASE CONFIRM SO I CAN GET AN ACCURATE COUNT TO LET THEM KNOW. THANKS

CONFIRMED ATTENDEES WITH HAVE THEIR NAME IN BLUE (after all, it's my favorite color :D)

So there's been a lot of talk about the riders from the Buckeye state showing up lately and talk of taking a ride.

Anyone interested in a meet-n-greet in Mid June?

I'm guessing peeps can meet up from their local areas and ride to a mutual location and then all end up for dinner somewhere in Central Ohio. Zanesville maybe?

This would give the peeps from the North and South to meet up together without anyone missing out. Meet up and compare notes on their ride in.

An example might go like this, Members from NEO meet up in Canton at the Football Hall of Fame them cruise over to meet NWO member at Hales in Mansfield before riding down to meet the group from Southern Ohio up for dinner in a central location somewhere.

Might be kinda fun to get something like this rolling.

Any group picks a place to meet up with others and everyone gets to the central spot about the same time.

Make the "meet" time an hour before eating so that leaves some leeway for stragglers.

Open to any and all suggestions and Ideas.

Just wanted to get something out there to gauge interest.

Due liability issues, we need to make this a non sanctioned event. Meaning RoadGlide.org will not be held responsible for any incidents that may happen. This will just be a bunch of members that have met on here that agree to meet up and ride. Just like getting your buddies together for an afternoon run a few hours away to your favorite watering hole.

I'm in.....bike is being shipped in two weeks, dropping off at dealer for a 'checkup', then ready to roll.....being new to Ohio, I'm looking forward to rides in Kentucky or Northern Ohio..
I did a project in Columbus in the summer of 2010, brought the bike with me. If you take any road with a number on it, northeast of Columbus, you'll be riding fine. Southeast of Columbus is really great also. Stop in at Athens Harley-Davidson. They were one of the most friendly dealerships I ever ran across.

If you are into HOG Rallies, Ohio is doing a Touring Rally this year. Rolling from Steubenville to Cincinnati.

stranger danger

I am not from Ohio but my wife is, Balnchester, sounds like a good reason to jump on the bike and ride to see her parents than meet up with the group on Saturday, should just be the 2 of us as her daughter should be with hr sperm donor at that point. I will keep an eye on this thread and see where it goes.

Thanks OldGuy!
I will have to stop by Athens on one of my local trips!
For years I bought from Mansfield Harley and liked not paying sales tax, being from Massachusetts. Now I have to figure in sales tax if I buy from there.

Now to make sure the bike mover will pack it up safely. I will do the loading and unloading, they do the packing and driving.

I might even be interested. Got nothing going on the weekend of the 29th. Plenty of Hyatt Place hotels in Columbus for a free room. Last time I was in Zanesville, the Harley dealer had a Tour Glide on the floor. Might even get a chance to ride the Triple Nickel this time around.
