I have narrowed down my rear suspension to the ohlins or super Shox. After speaking with Howard earlier I am greatly leaning toward going with the ohlins mainly due to the fact I can get into those for $140 cheaper than I can the super Shox. Howard is recommending I go with the shock listed in the title due to me wanting to keep the looks of the lowered stance. Any of you guys on here running that same shock?

i run the 12 !/4 or 12 1/2 whatever is the lower one he offers. they came from howard. i told him weight of me and the wife, and he sent them dialed in. i haven't needed to touch them since. I've had them 2 years now? perfection. go with howard, he'll set you up correctly. if i ever get to the point where i need something different he can switch them around, too. all, in all, he worked out and the ohlins are great quality.

The 2-2a is a 12 1/8 according to his sight. Also, what is your weight and any bottoming issues with that lower shock?

i am now 220 the wife is 135...i had the shocks set up at my weight being 210. they still work fine and only had one really bad bump the two years they've been on. it was not near as bad as bottoming out the old stock shocks or the progressives i tried. i don't even worry about bottoming anymore.

I have had a set of Howard's Ohlins 2-2s series shocks for 6 years or so.

Well worth the money.

Then again, I have them with the "fastest" color springs!!!

I'll tell you what... Howard is one hard fella 2 speak with! Not sure if it was me or what but it's hard to get anything out of him. I Can Only Imagine how busy he would be if he had someone else handling the pr side of it. Haha

I'm looking forward to getting them in. I've always been told my black was the fastest color I could have bought... This changes things now. I would have gotten yellow if I would have known! Haha

UPS just showed up! Howard's directions have got me a little worried though. He's requires installing in a way I haven't done before. I've always just pulled the old shock and slapped on the new one.

with the money that you spent on those, i would suggest not taking any shortcuts. there must be a reason why howard says to do something a certain way. i highly doubt he's just trying to make extra work for you....
