2017 RG Special.
Hey all.
So I just finished doing a service on the bike getting her ready to store for the winter.
I notice a slight leak from the hose that hooks onto the oil cooler.
This was no problem to fix as i just reinstalled a new ear clamp.
To get access to this I removed the oil cooler cover.
Once completed I check to make sure that i did stop the leak and began putting the bike back together.
Last step is to put the oil cooler cover back on but for the life of me I cant get it to go.
The little rubber grommets in the bottom will not go through the holes in the bottom no matter how hard I squeeze
Anybody ever remove this before?
Any tip on getting it back to be reinstalled?
Should I try needle nose pliers from the back to grab the grommet and pull?

The top plastic part hinges on the cooler, remove the rubber grommets and place them in the cooler bracket first and then press the cover into the grommets

You might try some dish soap too. I had to use it to replace my floor board pads on my 07’ before I sold it.
