Getting everything pulled off the motor so I can take it out.Anyone know off hand what size allen head socket fits the oil cooler adapter to get it off? Mine only go to 3/8th and that is too small. I'm thinking it's going to be 7/16 or 1/2.

sorry I can't remember off hand. Pretty sure I used one of my torx 55 or 70. I am curious what happened to your motor though.
I know the one needed for the new SE compensator is a T70 torx head but the one for the oil cooler adapter is allen head. Nothing really wrong with the 103 other than a leaking valve guide seal, I was just ready for a crate motor anyway. Getting one of Frank's 124's. I'll keep the 103 and eventually get the heads freshened up and have it to put back in the bike if and when I sell or trade it down the road.

Did some more searching, looks like it's 7/16.

Yes it is a 7/16 allen. The problem I found was that a 7/16 allen wrench isn't very common and it is harder to find.
I just went to a local hardware store and used a 1/4 inch threaded rod coupler nut, the coupler nut is longer than a regular nut which make it easy to work with and it removes the oil housing with no issues.

124. Nice!! Good luck with your project. Not disagreeing that it is actually an allen. Was just telling you I used a torx. Totx are nothing but an Allen with a star on the end. I often use them if I forget my Allen sockets at work and only have my Torx set. Just an FYI. The right size Torx will fit if you have a set.
