So I bought my Ultra back in Sept of 13 and ride it in stock form minus exhaust and a couple other mods. Now I'm ready to dive in. I wanna do a 26 front wheel but first things first I need to get the back end done beforehand.

I picked up a Top Shop rear fender and bags off of member over on another forum. They will be here Monday. So in prep I decided to do some other work. Here it was as of the other day... ImageUploadedByMO Free1414758592.739209.jpg

I want to keep my RG an ultra with a fixed mount TP (as of now) but I do not want CB/Intercom as I NEVER use them plus I want the extra room to run amp wires and such in the wire tray so the other night I started a quest to pull all that Stuff off. First went the CB antenna and radio whip antenna ImageUploadedByMO Free1414758704.345367.jpg
Then I wanted to remove the passenger intercom hookup ImageUploadedByMO Free1414758840.607515.jpg
So what I thought was gonna be an easy task turned into a cluster. After about 2 days of looking at wiring diagrams, chasing wires, dismantling, etc. I realized all I needed to do was eliminate one of the harnesses that plugs into the back of the HK. Duuuhhhhh. Lol.

Current plans are...
- Top Shop rear fender and 4.5" extended bags
- Monroe air ride
- plasma rods for run/brake/turn signals on fender. Also gonna add 2 plasmas rods horizontally on my tour pack for Run/brake/turn also.

And I'm also kicking around installing an FBI dropseat kit with Camtech flare side covers. Time and funds will tell. Lol.

I think that's all for now. :)
Let's do this...

As it sits currently. ImageUploadedByMO Free1414782450.870448.jpg

On another note. I bought a J&S Jack with oil pan adapter for this project. Previously had the red craftsman jack. OMG. The J&S is light years ahead. I can jack it up unstrapped and work on it without worry. Annnnnd the best part. I can move it around my garage without any issues. Best purchase to date.

So I haven't had much time to work on this beast lately however I did get a chance to do some little things. Reassembled the front end to make sure all the fitment was good, then I went into some personal things.

Relocated the trip switch to the top of the inner nacelle and did the garage door mod by soldering a trip switch to a universal remote ImageUploadedByMO Free1416399165.866781.jpg , and put that on the bottom of the inner nacelle ImageUploadedByMO Free1416399180.617071.jpg
Everything seems to be working the way it should so I'm happy.

Finally got my hogtunes lids out if the box ImageUploadedByMO Free1416399220.983758.jpg I gotta thank Drew at HogPro. He hooked me up and was great to deal with. Highly recommend.

Next up... Is audio. And mounting my Top Shop fender and bags.

Got a little work done last night. The wife had me working in a honey due project so that took bike time away but I did get some time. Got the Top shop rear fender mocked up ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1417794355.290964.jpg
I have some adjusting to do but not much.
Gotta mock the bags up and adjust as needed. Then this came in the mail also yesterday ;) ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1417794429.839629.jpg
Nice little customizable piece with 4V preamp output.

Waiting on my Vtwin mount kit with splash cover to arrive that way I can mount it up.
Moving along slowly but surely.
Hopefully snatching up speakers and amp soon and finish up my air ride.

Until then...

So it's been awhile since I updated this. Not too much extra has happened. I acquired a few things over the last few weeks 😉 ImageUploadedByMO Free1422313221.287514.jpg I needed to up my audio game so thanks to the awesome advice from My brethren. I couple packages showed up. Lol. ImageUploadedByMO Free1422313261.922168.jpg I snatched up some CVO lower pods and grills also. I can't believe how freaking e pensive these are. Lol. ImageUploadedByMO Free1422313276.971981.jpg And while I was at it, I wanted to make some clean connections so I went out on a limb and picked up a deutsche connector kit.

I also grabbed up a Hertz HDP4 amp from a member on another forum. Audio is pretty much done.

Getting ready to glass up my fender light holes and it'll be time for paint.

So a lot has happened lately. I finally got my fender to where I wanted it. Got everything mocked up and ready for paint. Here's what it looked like before paint. ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1427903375.686030.jpg
So I got everything stripped back down and sent off to paint and powder coat... Fast forward 2 weeks later and I have everything back again. **apparently my body skills are not what they should be. Lol. Painter said he spend about 4 hours making my rear fender pretty but he got it**

Also decided to paint the entire bike satin black and add glossy accents to the powder (Harley black pearl). Preview of my fender with frenched in plasma rods ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1427903527.238357.jpg

Slowly putting it back together. Taking my time. Making sure there's no issues and all wiring is neat and compact. Finished front end speakers, Etc. Now onto the bags, etc. ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1427903592.400030.jpg

Stay tuned😉😉😉👍👍👍😎😎😎

And there it is. I got some little plans that I'm looking to add soon. New tour pack speaker pods and possibly incorporating a set of ST44 horn tweeters in them powered off of a separate RF300x2 amp.

Then I will be amassing parts for rounds 2... Hello 26😀😀😀😀😀😎😎😎😎😎

OSG, awesome job and you did it yourself.. You got some skillz.. Now i know whom to call.
Thanks brother. I appreciate it. First time doing glasswork myself.
And I don't know how much help I will be but you can call anytime.

Looks really good!

How do you like it ?

I like it a lot. I do have a little less bag to fender gap at the top of my right side that bothers me. Chalking it up to inexperience with glass and paint in my part. I will fix it next winter but all in all. I think it turned out great.

OSG, great job you did there.

Bike looks SLICK for sure!

Mike U.

Thanks buddy. I appreciate it.
