Hey everyone. I'm still new here, and I don't have any pics of my bike yet. But I wanted to post some info on a product I just purchased. First of all, the product: http://www.hogskinspaintprotection.com/
I didn't see anything here (good or bad) about this company. I haven't put a mile on my new bike yet, but I am extremely worried about rock chips on my new denim paint (thanks Michigan roads!).
I talked to Terry at Hogskins, I assume he is the proprietor. Very nice guy, very well informed. He says he used to use 3M's product but they recently switched to Suntech? (can't remember for sure).
Anyway, Suntech is owned by the guy who sold his original product to 3M. Terry said the new protection from Suntech is better than the 3M stuff. He did warn me that the edges of the film are slightly visible on denim paint, but nearly invisible on gloss paint.
Once I get it installed I will post some pictures. I guess I would rather look at the edges of the film than nasty rock chips from $h177y Michigan roads.
