The more I read, the more confused I get. Bought a Hawg Wired Six Pack and Pioneer TS-C1644R speakers for the lower fairing. Finally have some time coming up to do the install. Parallel or series and why one way over the other?

Thanks Matt

your amp and your speakers both have an impedance rating in ohms. They MUST match or you can damage your speakers, your amp or both, and you will not get optimum performance out of your system.
The simple rule is:

2 speakers wired in parallel - ohms are cut in half - i.e. 2 4 ohm speakers in parallel = 2 ohms impedance
2 speakers wired in series - ohms are doubled - i.e. 2 4 ohm speakers in series - 8 ohms impedance.

hope this helps

Also make sure before you wire anything in 2 ohm that your amp can handle a 2 ohm load. Most amps will run 2 or 4 ohm but 4 ohm is much easier on your amp and produces less heat.
