My buddy has an 05 Road Glide that was built to a 95. True duals (Rinehart), has the PC-V with auto tuner on it. Now some days he says it runs great, some days he says it's terrible (back fires, hesitates). He's not getting very good milage (35). Has anyone got any ideas for him? I told him to get rid of it and go to Rev Performance, but he can't afford it right now.

I run that set up and it is a great system. Has he hooked it up to the computer and accepted the trim tables that the auto tuner has adj.? If you don't do that each time you start it is has to learn all over again. Have him call Dyna Jet, they are vary helpful and will walk him though it.

I have one and have no problems with it. He should check all connections and apply dielectric grease to them, especially the jumper that goes in the unused socket on the Autotune module. If the jumper doesn't make connection it disables the Autotune.

PCV with autotune is designed for 09 and up HDs how did your friend hook this up to an 05? Did he use the fuel moto retrofit kit? They are the only ones I know of that make this kit and if he did have him call Jamie there I'm sure he can help out. If he doesn't have that kit it's my understanding the PCV will simply not work on a pre-09.

Well I can tell you he has an 05 Road Glide, I don't think he got it from Jamie, and he has a PV-C with auto tuner. I saw it under his side panel.

I'm not debating what he has perhaps he bought this unit used and didn't know but a PCV is not compatible with an 05 roadglide without the kit. You can go the dynojet website and it will tell you 09 and up touring models. If you search their site for compatible tuners for an 05 RG all you will get is a PC III. If your friend does not have the retrofit kit this tuner will not work on his bike and it's why he's having issues at least that is what I would assume at this point. I looked into putting this on my 08 and decided against it because I want something that was actual made for my bike.

Well I check the web site too, you are right. It looks like the pc-v is suppose to be for 09's and later. I'll have to see now, if he has the adapter on it.

Wow, I had him go out to his bike and look again, to see if it was a PC III or PC-V. Sure enough it's a PC-V with an auto tuner on it too. I told him what was suggested to lube the connection areas, so we will see.
