I thought my bike was running well, but just for some peace of mind I made an appointment to see Dave on my way back home from a trip to NC.
I had him do a "clean up" tune. I think he prefers the TTS, and I have both the TTS and SEPST, but my current map is on the SEPST.
He said I'd get a comparable tune no matter which tuner he used, so he did my dyno tune on the SEPST.
Great improvement. Less throttle lag, more power, runs cooler, and gets 20 miles more per tank. Though I thought it was running well, Dave said it was detonating at WOT, and the timing and AFR was off.
I base the running cooler part on when my Jagg Oil Cooler fan kicks in at 220 degrees. Before, it would kick in after idling a few minutes in even moderately hot weather. A couple weeks back, I was stuck at the border for awhile, and it idled for quite awhile until the fan had to kick in.
I'm having my local Indy install the TTS100 cam, and will be doing the 400 mile trip back down to PA to see Dave in October. He's awesome, and I won't have anyone else tune my bike from here on in.
