Has anybody here added power locks to their saddle bags and tour pak?

A buddy of mine has them on his ‘15 CVO and was wondering if it could be done on a ‘19 RGS.

Any thoughts and part numbers would be great.

Thanks

Not only expensive, and time consuming but badass too! Easiest thing to do is go to the dealer and have them put a list together for you and hope that they nailed it all Orrrrrr find a VIN for a 2019 CVO with those options you want and plug that there VIN into the HD Owners website and look it all up yourself. Don't forget you will need the correct key fob or fobs if you want more than 1 and the Digital Technician to program and make all the magic happen. Always thought this should have been standard with as much as they are charging for these scooters.

I would think you could cut the price down considerably if you did not do the key fob side. Just get the locking modules and the buttons for the dash. Momentary on and off to lock and unlock the bags. The power feed to the dash buttons only works when the bike is on so you have to be there with the key fob for those buttons to work.

The canbus would still have to be programmed to work like normal, but if you wired around that for the switches and only used the canbus for the power feed like JNR and others do for the air ride switches, this could be accomplished. It is an interesting idea...

If you're not concerned with the ignition switch lock and only want the bags and tp, source the hardware however you can and use a Pilot 4channel remote to work them. It has 4 buttons on it and you can program them into on/off or momentary buttons. About $20 online. Used them for years on my trucks to remote control lights and other fun stuff. Yes you're carrying a 2nd fob but how bad do you want them and how much are you willing to spend for them.

I don't recall if the 2016's have the single fob. When I lost my power lock controller for 2015 I ordered it and the programming for the power locks is in the owner manual on how to get that part working. Only the ignition FOB requires the dealership to complete.
