if it's been cleared properly (a few coats of clear coat paint over the stripe) you should be ok as long as you don't abrade it in any way.
if not, and the stripe is not properly applied, you could wipe it off with a rough buffing or scrubbing.

At my recent 5000mile service the valeting guy at the dealership was using a little buffing machine with a soft wheel and he buffed out the couple of small boot-heel marks on a saddlebag lid. Like magic.
I've got a bigger version for my car, but it's way too much to put on a bike.
Found out today that the new Bad Dad backend kit I ordered before thanksgiving will be here Monday. Will tear the bike down this weekend so it’s ready. Wanting to get everything on and sorted for the next show the first weekend of January. Will post pics as tear down and assembly goes.
