Purchase recommendations

I'm on the hunt for a new Denim Black RG. Dealers around here are all highball on the purchase and lowball on any trade. I just don't want to feel like I should take stock in KY if I want to buy a bike. Any good dealers that you all can recommend in the Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona or Southern California area?

I cannot help with a dealer recommendation since I am on the right coast, but from a trade in perspective don't do it. Sell your bike outright. I've read where people think they have gotten a better deal trading in, but I don't buy it. They have fancy ways of making you think your getting a deal, but your not. The dealer needs to make a profit off of your trade so your not getting as much for it trading it in. Trading in is easier to do especially if you have a loan on your ride, but from a economics standpoint is not beneficial.

I get the whole trade issues. There are some good reasons for it from a tax perspective. Trade is an option that I am looking at, but certainly not needed. All my bikes are paid for. I mention trade in the first post because that's how these guys all roll. Highball the new, lowball the old. But it seems as if they aren't even nice about it.

I just want to be treated fairly and I'm willing to travel a bit for it. I don't expect to get the deal of the century. Heck, I don't even expect to get a deal since its riding season.
I hear you about the whole highball and lowball game. My first rule of thumb is I find out what the MSRP is on the new bike, which is the starting point for negotiations, if the dealer is asking over MSRP I walk. That's not a dealer that's the often spoke about stealer and not someone I need to be dealing with!
Route 66 in Tulsa was great to deal with... I got my 2013 $1500 under msrp and they gave me an extra $500 on my trade in cause it was extra clean.... They beat every HD dealership price in OKC....
I got 13k trade for my 08 SG and I was pretty happy. It also saved me over 1k in sales tax. I may have been able to get a little more for it by selling it myself but since my dealer is still trying to sell it after 6 months I think trading was the right choice.

Thanks. OKC may be a bit far for me, but I'll keep that in mind.
The plan next week includes a stop in Kingman. They might be in a mood to deal with all of the volume that goes with River Run week, and being in-person might be an advantage.
Biggs HD in San Marcos, CA is who I deal with. I've enjoyed the relationship.

Sounds good to me. Never been to Mother Road before. I'll pull up there website.

p.s. Not sure what you are doing next week, but I plan on meeting you guys this week. Roughly 72 hours from now. What day are you heading to Kingman?
Update!!

So I got in touch with BeersHD in Vernal Utah. GREAT folks to deal with. They had a slightly used FLTRXS with several thousand in additions that I was able to get for several thousand under a new sticker. In addition, they were able to give me a good price for my trade. Needless to say, I will be taking delivery of a 2015 RGS next week (this week is out due to Laughlin). I wish that the new bike were mine, but alas, it is for my bride. She is adamant that I do not ride it AT ALL. Really happy for her. She is super excited and ready to ride to SWV!

P.s. I will get a few rides in when she is at work. Sssshhhh!
AWESOME Troy. I can't wait to hear more about the new ride. Looking forward to checking it out up close and personal. Congrats to Kim !!
