...If I remove my RGU Tour-Pak and therefore remove the rear speakers...with no rear speaker load on the head unit... Do I risk taking out the output transistors for the rear speakers?

What if I add an amplifier? (same question)

It seems to me that running a head unit without speaker load has in my distant past caused the output transistors to blow.

Any thoughts?

I will piggy back on this question for those of us with customs, that want to eventually wire up an ultra tour pack (with speakers). I assume an additional amp is needed. Does it go in the fairing, or on the bottom of the pack? Is this even possible to do yourself? What impedance of speakers are needed in back? Do the fronts have to change? How can you wire up the nacelle switch for rear speaker power, and will the stock deck give you a fader control?

Don't have an RGU, but on my friend's EGU you can shut off rear speakers via a switch on lower console. Seems that would handle it...maybe?
