2015 RGS 9800 miles. Rattled on cold start up. Front ex. lifter was the culprit, had a slight mark on the roller, pretty sure this one bled down faster than the others. Replaced with S&S standard lifters and SE adj. pushrods, 3 turns and 1 flat. Very quiet.

Mine started doing the rattle at about 400 miles. Dealer replaced all 4 tappets under warranty with S&S standards. All quiet now!

I never had any complaints with mine and my lifters still looked good when I replaced them with the crane units. I'm curious to see if I here or feel a difference.

I just changed mine out last week to S&S standards as well. Tore the front two lifters apart after I buttoned up the bike. The pistons in both of them had wear marks on one side. It led me to believe it is a quality control issue with tolerances. I'll try and get a good pic of it. Mine sounded like it would stick at least a couple of times each week for a minute or so on start up. It could be a cold motor or warmed up. Didn't seem to matter. All good now. Quite as a church mouse.....on steroids.
