Anyone had any problems with the display of their radio fading out?...mine comes and goes.....while riding....when stopped , engine off stays on.....I'm thinking a loose soder joint or a cracked PC board?....anyone else?

BTW other than not being able to see the screen everything on the radio works....sound, controls ,ect......

Are you saying the engine light comes on when stopped. If this is your issue along with the radio, it most likely is a short. Had this issue on an Electro glide standard. It screwed up the fuel injection and thus the gas mileage on the bike. It was something as simple as a stripped wire that needed to be connected properly. It happened twice and finally the HD dealership in Orlando fixed it properly while I was at bike week one year.

I'll give that a try...but I think there is a bad connection in there somewhere. It's fine when the bike is off and the radio is on...but as I go down the road the display goes on and off..........

Had the same problem. Got caught in a light rain one night. Than the display started to fade in and out. Then it (the display) quit all together. Called the HD warrenty desk and they said it was still covered. So I pulled it. I didn't like it much anyway. Replaced it with a Sony head unit. Great display at night. But mounted in the RG radio houseing display can't be seen while riding in broad daylight.
