Replace rear brake pads

I have a 2005 road glide and the rear brakes will need to be changed soon. It looks like the caliper is mounted on the axle. How do you replace the rear pads.

Well not to be a dick but go into the new member subforum and introduce yourself to everyone AND THEN start asking your questions. You'll be amazed how much help this extended family can be.

Guess is your first HD...
So here is,
Take the master cylinder cover off with a putty knife pry between the brake pads and the disk unbolt the two small pins and pull the pads replace with new ones, check fluid level and close master cylinder. Pump brake pedal.
Good luck...no need to take the rear tire off or caliper. Invest on the manual. Good source for torque and maintenance work.
