Just wondering where you store your insurance and registration papers? Currently I've got my paperwork floating around in the bottom of my saddlebag. I'm afraid they're going to get lost or destroyed. There's got to be a better way!

State Farm gives me a card about the size of a credit card that I keep in my wallet along with the registration that is also small and folds nicely in my wallet.

I have a chrome "stash tube" clamped to my engine guard. The documents are rolled up and stuffed inside. I use the same on my Softail, except it's clamped to the downtubes. I had the same mounted on my handlebar a few years back. Pardon the torn-down bike. It's the quickest photo I could find with the tube in the image.

HD offers them, as do a few aftermarket companies. I scored mine used off ebay on the cheap. Both ends of the cylinder are threaded, and feature an O-ring to keep the paperwork dry. Easy to get to, and easy to find when you need it. No digging thru your raingear or whatever else is in your bag.

That's the last place, unless you're OL is carrying your weed in her panties

If you have to get off the bike, remember your hands are on the bars
and on the side of the road, least have em in the RT side bag

Usually keep mine in outside pocket with chain, chain is so you
Don't lose the dog

Or keep the three, DL . CC wrapped in left glove box

Legal here so basically never reach when the Leo just learned to shave two weeks ago

Heavy duty envelope painters taped to the rear of a saddle bag.
On my EGU I used to keep them in an envelope between the tour pack and the liner.

I alway keep the papers in my wallet. That way if someone steals the bike they have no documents. If a thief has the paperwork for your bike he can just tell a LEO that you let him borrow the bike.

take a picture of mine and keep it on the cell
Don't know if that's acceptable proof. It may work but you have a chance of losing the phone or the phone breaking or the battery going dead, You kind of get the picture.

Like several others, I keep all my paperwork in my wallet.

If you have to open a bag or trunk to get the paperwork, it gives the LEOs a chance to search it. They now have probable cause "for their safety".

Always remember, they do not have a legal right to search your bike unless you give them permission, or they have a probable cause. All you have to do is tell them that you do not give permission for them to open any compartment on your motorcycle.

They can force the issue if they want, but you will then have legal grounds for a lawsuit. Most don't want that. They can always detain you while they obtain a search warrant if they want, but again, most do not want to go through that hassle if they don't have to.

Don't be a Dick, but know your rights.

Wallet

However Indiana make motorcycle registrations business card sized so that it fits easily in your wallet. I thought it was nice. I was a reduced sized already from the norm then I believe last last year it became business card sized. Now if the Insurance company would get on that program.
