Anybody have any ideas on how to fill the factory installation slots on the bottom of the OEM windscreen? I want to mount an OEM windshield using Ironmarks method but the OEM screen has slots cut out of the left and right outboard mounting points instead of just holes. Since the geometry is different when mounting the screen away from the fairing, I would like to fill in these slots and drill new mountng holes. I am then planning on painting the lower edge on both the inner and outer surfaces where the notor company has just painted the inner. Any ideas on a product to fill the slots that can be sanded and painted to a flat surface? I guess a fiberglass repair kit would work butr I dont really want a raised edge. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you think about just cutting off the bottom of the shield to get rid of the slots? You wouldn't be cutting off that much. If you just "repair" the slots, the new holes will be darn close to the former slots, and might break your repairs.
