I’m an active duty Marine with nearly 24 years in service so far and stationed in Arlington, VA. Having returned alive to ride free after three deployments to Iraq (2003, 2005/06, and 2007/08), I'm a bit of a bedouin but between moves between bases and stations along with deployments I try to spend time with my family and am an avid supporter of events that contribute towards Veterans.

I currently ride a HD road king and looking hard at the RGU for this spring/summer so I'll be lurking quite a bit

First of all, Thank You for your service!
Reward yourself & get out to a dealer and take an RG for a test ride if you haven't done so already. I'm glad I did. It was the first RG I'd ever ridden, and I fell hook, line, & sinker for it, after riding a batwing for 13 years.

Good luck & keep us posted!

Welcome from SoDak, great to have a Marine with us. Thank you for the many years of service you have given and the sacrifices made by your family as well, welcome back to the world. I stepped up from a Road King and have never looked back, pull the trigger and we'll see ya on the road somewhere.

First I would like to say from all my family and my Roadglide family here, Thank You for your service and what you give up that we may be free Americans. I do not take that lightly and think about this daily. I want you to tell your family how much we appreciate them as well. It's not easy being a wife, a son or daughter, a mother or father of a military person and all the burdens that brings with it. Last I want to tell you how proud I am and how much respect I have fro you and what you sacrifice for us.

Now, Howdy from Texas! Welcome to the tank and good luck on your search for your new Road Glide Ultra. You will absolutely love it.

Welcome aboard, and I too thank you for your service. I had ridden a Road King (1st Harley) then 2 diff. Road King Classics. all had at the very least Heritage bars. Then I traded for a 12 RGU last summer great bike and it was already loaded up with mods. Then after several 100 miles I thought I made a mistake I felt cramped I guess is the best way to put it. But it was the stock handlebars. Switched bars to a wider 12 inch ape and wow now I love this bike.

All my respect & Semper fidelis,
+1 on Smarty's comments.

I spent a few years at Ft Myer nearly 40 years ago now. Welcome from Tulsa.
