Love It!

I just love to see the Euro/Japan only riders throw a leg over a Road Glide and realize "This ain't your Daddy's Oldsmobile!":D

A Simular Story...

A couple of months ago I went for a ride near Lake Mead on a Monday. There is a marina called Callville Bay, and the four mile road from Northshore Road to Callville is a favorite of the sportbike guys. Nice twisty turns and a great road surface...

On the way out, I saw a BMW GSA and a Honda CBR in front of me pulling hard. Once I got to the Callville turnoff, they were both parked at the entrance road to Callville. I waived, and they waived back, and I rode by them.

I started down Callville Road and about a mile in I have the GSA on my tail. There is no safe area to pass, so I rolled on the RG and started to pull him. By the time we got to the end, he was 1/4 mile or better behind me.

Guy approaches me in the marina parking lot and says, "How the hell did your do that on a Harley?"

We talked for over half an hour, and he definitely changed his opinion on the ride from Milwaukee...

Too Funny...

You should of convinced him that the Road Glide is the only Harley Model that would of been able to do it ;)

Its not surprising that this tester had such an inaccurate expectation of what a Harley bagger would be like. I've found over the years that most non-Harley riders have no clue about modern Harleys. They usually get blown away when they ride one or, more likely, when a big Harley passes them in the twisities. Glad to see this article tell tilike it is.
