There are two Antennas on the tour pack for the RGU. Both Antennas look the same but with a closer look there is a marking on each saying which is CB and FM... OK.... Which side is which on the tour pack? Manual does not help

Not 100% sure on the 2011, but traditionally left is AM/FM and right is CB...

I can confirm that on my 2011 FLTRU the left antenna is for the AM/FM radio and the right antenna is for the CB radio.

Many thanks for the information. I swapped them over. 50 / 50 chance I could get it right. Now to ID one of antenna with a red dot since I take them off each time I throw the cover on the RGU.

Just FYI... my previous bike, a 2008 Ultra Classic, came stock with the very long whip antennas. They didn't fit in my garage, so I swapped them out with a pair of shorty antennas from J&M. They worked perfectly, with no decrease in range for the FM or CB. They both appeared to be exactly the same, and according to J&M the CB antenna required no tuning. I'm sure I swapped them around when I had to take them off while working on the tour pack, and there was no impact on performance.

Frank,
If you look real close at the bottom of each Antenna on your RGU you will see in raised small lettering "CB" and the other is marked with AM/FM. The stock Antennas look the same.... Thanks for the input

If you look at the coiling under the black wrap, there is a difference in the coiling itself. I would imigine that it has something to do more with the cb than the am/fm.

I looked at the antenna last night and there was "CB" on tne bottom edge. So I guess there is a difference...but why make 2 different ones....is the cost savings that much...must be.

Trust me, there's a world of difference. Trying to transmit with other than an antenna tuned for the CB band can pretty quickly fry the CB. The CB antenna on the AM/FM receiver isn't going to perform very well either.
