I just bought a new 2024 road glide and often ride over 200 miles in a day sometimes as many as 450-500. I am 6foot tall and 260 pounds. Looking for recommendations on a comfortable seat. Stock feels close to tank and hard on hind quarters. Thanks in advance,
Preacher

Sure you will get a lot of opinion's on this one, but after many different seats over the years my favorite ones for distance riding are my Saddleman Roadsofa when running a 2 up, or my Corbin Classic when in solo mode. Both take a little bit of break in but once done they are very comfortable, and both come in long reach if you feel you need a bit more space to get you back off the tank.

Ultimate motorcycle seats has a nice 14 day return policy. Many difference seats to choose from and you can check one out to see if you like it for long distance. They are located out of the Daytona Beach area.

I had a Ultimate solo tallboy seat with rider's backrest on my '18 Road Glide. I really liked it. Not as comfortable as my riders only Harley hammock seat with rider's backrest but looked a whole lot better. I'm saving my bike money to get one for the 24 glide. I'll eventually will get one unless I hack up my riders only Harley hammock seat and manage to get it to fit.

@harold2024 Being that you started this thread a month ago, I'm guessing you've already found and installed a new seat by now. But here's my input just in case you are still looking and/or have replaced the stock seat but still aren't satisfied. I've had many different seats over the years, from a cheap low-profile Amazon find to various higher-end touring seats designed for high mile days (Mustang, HD Hammock, HD Sundowner, etc.) and many in between. Out of all the various seats I've ridden, there have been a few that I'd say were "reasonably comfortable at best". But none of them could get me past an hour-and-a-half to two hours in the saddle without some butt-ache. That was until I bought a LePera Maverick. For me, this is the first seat I've found to be immediately comfortable (no uncomfortable break-in period) and which I can ride long stretches without any butt/tailbone ache whatsoever. I've only been riding this seat for about a month now but so far I've gone as long as 2-1/2 hours in a single stretch and felt like I could easily keep going much, much longer.
