I had to drive up to the Sierras yesterday in my car due to my bike being in the shop getting fancy heads put on. Drove Hwy 132 East from Modesto up to Hwy 49, then on up to Greeley hill. This is a great section of road to ride. Beware that the signage is poor to non existent on Hwy 132, and some of those corners were oddly made. Crossed North from Greely Hill over to Hwy 120 / Groveland on the back roads through the pines then came back down via Priest grade. This is an awesome day trip for you and your scoot. Priest grade alone is worth the trip. Truly a epic route, no matter if you take the old grade road or the new grade. Both roads are wicked twisty and steep, the new grade is freshly paved and would be a really great ride to do. Epic roads.Beautiful scenery.
Really pretty country and many cool old towns to stop and look around. Hwy 49 in ether direction from Hwy 132 are also awesome routes if your so inclined. Great temps up there too. It was 103 in the valley.. So I was glad I spent the day up high. East of Greely Hill, the roads mostly all turn to dirt in short order, so I do not recommend going any further East than Greely hill on your bike, except to take the North cross over road that is just East of town,
