Using the Factory Harley HK radio, I don't see a need for a cover. The only reason for the need is if you are using an Aftermarket radio.
Besides, the radio is a comfort item. I can ride without it, just for the fun of the ride.

I have the stock HK radio and just got my bike back out of the shop after having the radio replaced...got wet on a ride and lost the display. Radio still worked but no display...just a nice red glow. The servive guy told me it wasn't the first RG to have had this and I think in some other threads here you will find the same.
As for a cover I think the folks over a eGlideGoodies now have a cover for us. Haven't ordered it yet but I will have it before next riding season.

I emailed them and they only seem to have one for the E-Glide with a aftermarket radion

Did you ever order try the cover? I was thinking of getting a slide out 7" screen unit and would hate to lose it first time it rains..
looking at how the stereo sits IN the radio "pod" i cant see how someone hasn't made a cover that'll fit - like a cover on a cooking Pot. maybe even with a lock which would act as security for the aftermarket radios

Strange this subject should come back, I tried the under $20 splash cover solution, its not even worth talking about. I've been looking at Sidecar Cycles splash guard, and a fellow forum member happened to be selling one that I bought yesterday, I'll post the results when it comes, but beware, they're not cheap.

I don't know how well the pics will show, but here is a comparison Sidecar Cycles vs Biketronics for the radio covers, the Biketronics is the clear one.
