I'll be there

I'll be there, not as much as an adventure for me as I live in Merry-Land, but I still go as often as possible. Been most years since about 97 or 98.

There are some great rides in and around the DC area, DC is not one of them because of the traffic and the knuckleheads that call DC home. But with the historic landmarks, good riding roads and great seafood, you'll like the area.

I do the ride up from Quantico that AM..its a blast to rule the HOV lane...it s sea of bikes..but I steer off the flow at the Pentagon, go by Arlington, the Iwo Jima memorial, go across the key bridge, watch from the sidelines...out early going north up the George Washinton Parkway..really nice experience for my kiddos...

Only 5 more days... I am looking forward to seeing a lot of Shark Noses in the parking lot. See you all there...

This was my tenth rolling thunder it was great. Couldn't have asked for a better day to share with my fellow veterans! Of course there is always an a$$ hat or two but I never let them rain on my parade. If you were there you know it was a great time and if not sorry you missed it.

Fun in DC

Just got home and settled in, I have Ben doing security in DC for this Protest for years it is the easiest vacation - upwards of 900,000 bikers and the worst thing was after events on Sunday after leaving stage duty we went to a Bistro ,parked bikes at curb , when an Oriental tourist climbed on my bike for pictures - I yelled at them loud enuph to disturb every one in all 3 restaurants , some people have no manners.
