Well fellas changed out the stock intake an damn glad I did. Pretty sure stock was leaking and seems like it had been since just 1k on the odometer.
Went with Fuel Moto port & polish and seems like they did a great job on it. The butt dyno says it brought on a little power and my idle is much loapier.
I know everyone likes pics ended up getting a few. So for some viewing pleasure...

Got mine the other day just yet to install it. Definitely a nice product

Can't speak of the S&S one but I installed the Screaming Eagle one on my 114 a couple of weeks ago. It did exactly what you described and from that, I am pretty sure mine was leaking too. Another item that should come stock, go figure.

Where do you suspect it was leaking, at the cylinder or air cleaner flange?

When I installed mine I also installed new flange seals and purchased an intake kit from Harley just in case I ran into issues. The kit has some screws for sensor and injector o-rings. Didn't end up needing it.

Mine had a big black streak on the seal of what looked like carbon at rear head.
Wish I would have gotten a pic but had no idea it was leaking (likely in that spot).

My bottom bolts definitely wasn’t very tight but no signs of a leak. Definitely a lot of oil blow by and I’m running the S&S oil pump and chest plate with the A1 vent. Be routing that to the atmosphere before it goes back together. Did you guys tweak your tune or let it rip

Haven't done any touch up on tune but definitely planning to do so. Also plan on venting to atmosphere with catch can.

I just hope this is sealed up by the o ring better than it looks. Mine is the same way
