I have a 2000 RG SEFI and have trashed the motor...(don`t ask). Anyway, I see alot of comments on S&S`s 124 in. motor. I am interested in the S&S T111 but I can`t find ANY comments -good or bad- about it. I don`t need to tear hunks out of the road when I grab the the throttle, I just want to be able to pass a car or truck or get out of a jam -quickly. I mostly tour, only go into town
when I can`t avoid it, no hole shots, no bar hoppin, well, hardly no bar hoppin -
you get the idea... so, have any of you got experience w/this particular engine?
I am well acquainted with S&S quality. I am just curious as to why I have`nt
seen anything on this motor yet. thanx in advance for any comments you may have as I peruse this site almost daily...

The 111 is a square motor , bore and stroke are the same , 4.125" , a pretty smooth running motor with a gob of grunt , a square motor supposedly makes a great touring motor ..

A friend of mine runs this in his FXRT and loves it. He put the 124" in his other FXR and said the 124" is scary fast. If I was looking for a bagger motor this would be on the top of the list for a decent amount of power without being too much.

Thant being said, if i was going to spend enough to get a 111" I'd probably do the 124" instead fora few dollars more.

yeah, well...

Thanx for the replies. I thought about the 124 incher long and hard. Then I
thought about all those "pucker" moments I`ve had with just a stock motor over the last 40 years or so...the temptation is just too great to twist the wick and
like someone else said "that much motor just breaks other things!" and I don`t
bounce as good as I used to either...I`m betting the 111 will be plenty to play
with and have real good reliability as well as a little better gas mileage-HA!
Besides, I already have two permanent indents on my side where wifey grips
as we go into hyperdrive...he,he,he
