I'm posting up trying to find someone that has bought this seat combo and I'm particularly interested in the comfort of your passenger. I buy seats based on the passengers feedback since I care more about my wife's comfort.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

So I went ahead and ordered the rider and pillion seats. I get them next week on 10/3. I'll get to test them out fully about two weeks after that and hopefully my wife likes the passenger seat for the long hual. At least I could always put more cushion in it if need be.

I'll post back with a report

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I hated that seat. And my wife hated the pillion more. After 30 miles she made me pull over. When we got home she flat out refused to sit on that seat again. I have a hammock for long rides so I just used that when she went with me. I finally realized after 5000 miles that seat would never get softer. I sold it for 180 bucks just to get rid if it. The pillion i was able to return to the dealer. It sits you up and forward and rides like a brick.

I have the CVO style solo now and the pillion. She can do 100 miles on this pillion easy. And I can go tank to tank on the solo seat.

I guess that's the part that sucks about seats on motorcycles. You got to take the plunge and spend the dollars to either find out it works for you or it doesn't.

I had a corbin that I could ride all day but she didn't like the pillion seat. Then I took a stock ultra seat and had it reworked by Mean City Cycles and she loved the seat like crazy but I couldn't stand to be on it for more than 60 miles and I had them shape it twice for me.

My corbin was hard and I was super comfortable on it. I'm 5'8" and while the stock seat is perfect the up and forward just a tad probably isn't a big deal for me. My main concern is my wife's comfort as do a lot of two-up riding. but I'm not scared if I need to go in and add some more memory density foam. She is only about 106 lbs and says her butt bones dig in to the seat.

Oh she hates the stock 2017 special passenger part of the seat and I could ride it all day.

Go figure. Can't ever win.

Anyways, we will see what happens.

I just bought my wife an Airhawk seat pad. She absolutely loves it. So now it's no issue no matter the seat. The airhawk is the answer.

Just thinking fours years back.........I bought my wife the airhawk and she didn't like it. too funny. Damned if you and damned if you don't. One of these days I'll figure it out.

On another I just remembered a seat that we were both happy on back when I owned a VTX1800 I purchased a seat and passenger pillion from Ultimate X Seats. I see now that they make them for Harleys. I'm just not crazy with how the rider seat flows into the rear fender but I may have to go that route if these seats don't work out.

Soooooo..........here is where I'm at. I didn't even have a chance to try out the saddlemen Dominator. I got it delivered and after much effort and pain in the ass I got the rider seat on. I really do hate the way this seat goes on. Granted, IMHO I feel Corbin has this part figured out perfectly. I then proceed to try and mount the pillion passenger seat. For the life of me I can't get it on. There are two nuts that keep the rider seat down that are slotted and the pillion slides on to those then bolts up to the seat bolt on the fender. Well it didn't and it didn't and finally it didn't. I took to saddlemen via Buster on the their facebook page for guidance and assured me that while it is difficult that it should fit. It didn't so I then tell them I need to move on.

Buster from saddlemen called me to try to find a solution. He then offered me any seat from their lineup and while I was not looking for a two-up seat I really didn't feel any confidence on their solo & pillion options so I went with the Road Sofa LS (lattice stitch).

Instead of sending the seats back to the companies I bought them from and eating the return shipping and restocking fee he offered to swap them out and he even gave me a return shipping label for the dominator and they sent me a Road sofa in a matter of few days since I'm leaving out of town.

Now it's too early to tell if the Road Sofa will fit for us but at least I was able to mount it on with ease.

I can say that saddlemen's customer service is top notch. I have yet get a good assessment of their seats. I will give more feedback once I have more saddle time on this seat.
