Question for those who may know:
I installed lid covers on my 2013 RGU bags to match my seat. After a few days of warming and stretching I got them on to where they look awesome. Only problem is I can’t latch and lock it due to the tolerance difference. Therefore, I couldn’t use them as they are. Anyone else run into these issues when putting on lid covers? Any suggestions to remedy this?

Did you have to take of the gasketing or anything from the lid? Thats the only thing I haven't tried. Otherwise I can't run with them
You might have the cover pulled to tight. If they are to tight there's not enough flex where the covers contact the bag so you won't be able to latch the lids.

No you don’t remove the gasket, have you mounted them on the bike and then closed them , they will stretch, they may be to tight doing it off the bike but mounted you should be able to force them closed

Latching to me is a problem, I would simply take them off and start over again it's just stretching, your velcro is still in the right place, I would stretch it everywhere tight, except for where the latch is I would save the latch as the last part of stretching the saddle bag lid, and it adjusting it as needed to be able to close the lid!!! It only takes a couple of minutes to separate from the velcro take your time with that as well. You will achieve the desire look and effect that you're looking for, just be patient sometimes things don't go on the first shot for me, it's sometimes the third or fourth shot before I get it right but the main thing is to have patience, and get it to where "you" are satisfied
Good luck with that....
