I installed the SE compensator on my '08 last summer and used the grinding method. Worked like a charm. The location where the grinding takes place is very thick, and not a lot needs to come off. Before grinding I laid down a coat of shaving cream about 1/2" deep on the primary, under where I was going grind, to trap all the metal I could. Completed the grinding, removed shaving cream with trapped particles, and finished with a thorough flush of the area with WD-40. Did it in about 2 hours.

Please explain the reason for upgrading/replacing compensator.

Thanks

Peace
If you need it you will hear a sickening grinding sound sometimes when trying to start your bike.
