I have a RGU 16. Not sure if I have a short in intercom system. I do not like the VOX system, so I just set it all the way to the right when riding, so I can talk to the wife. The system can be working great, we can stop, shut off the system, start up again on our ride, and not one of us can hear, the other cannot. Sometimes jiggling the cord helps, but it is frustrating, plus, I hate the cord. Thinking about the Sena 20S. It sounds like I can talk to my passenger, play music through I phone, get phone calls, listen to FM radio, and somehow hook up to GPS. Plus, no fricken cord. Anyone out there use this system, instead of the infotainment system on their glide, when wearing a brain bucket. Thanks.

The wife and I use the 20s and I have Sena's new cable that ties it to the bike. Works very well. I still tie into the bike so I can use the CB.

We went this route as we both want to be able to access our phones when necessary, listen to our own music and the wife doesn't want to hear the CB chatter on group rides.

I have the SMH10 , only diff is , the 10 doesn't have FM , pretty happy so far , and the sole reason for getting it was the fricken cord , I got the extended cord that harley came out with and still didn't like the cord ..

I dont have a schmart phone and what I do is BT the phone to the GPS , then the GPS to the Sena , my music is on a SD card in the GPS ..

I got mine from revzilla , there are two mounting options , one clamps to the helmet , the other is a sticky back . I have a Nolan N104 that I was hoping to use it on and the sticky is what I would have had to use , I tried the sticky and it doesn't werk for crap , and they even recommend not using it .. Also I ordered the set with the boom mike , no go on the full or modular , and the big earpieces won't werk in the Nolan , but alas , they have several different models of mike and earpiece setups ..

If you have the modular or FF , there is a model with earbuds and a mike that mounts inside the helmet ..

Wanna use it on more than one helmet ?? You can buy the mike kits without the power unit for around 30 bux , and just move the power unit from helmet to helmet .

I mounted mine on a 3/4 skid lid and the intercom werks good between two bikes , we did a road trip two weeks ago and the intercom did great , long as it is strait line , we were about 200' apart going around a curve and it broke up because of the trees .. Music sounds so so , but hey I don't need concert quality ..

I have the 20S duals. The first set we got was CRAP! couldn't hear ANYTHING over 40mph. For $500, my OL wasn't pleased at all. They came with firmware 1.4 ( older software ) which meant it wasn't the LATEST version on the street. I did upgrade the firmware to 1.6 and nothing changed.

I brought them back to the dealer, they ordered a new set and VOILA! This set came with ver. 1.6 and can hear everything great now. I have a LOUD audio system on my scoot and a Thunder Header... and my wife and I can talk between helmets at 85mph without issues now.

Im not saying you have the SAME issue I had, but for the money, you BETTER make sure you have a good set and they work. IF you are not happy, bring them back and have them order you another set.

If ya referring to my statement about the music being so so , I can hear it fine , it's just not the quality you get from the speakers , which isn't an issue with me .

What I wanna figure is if I can BT the GPS ( music on sd card ) to the Sena and not have the music play thru the headset ..

Not really an issue as I dont listen to the music a whole lot , just curious ...

I love my 20s system. I added a SM10 bluetooth adapter to the Ultra so I could listen to the AM radio (and weather) I don't use the CB much. As far as I'm concerned my next Glide need not have a radio at all! The intercom works great with the wife. My neighbor has one as well and it works great between bikes on the road. Did I mention I love the 20s! I have found that firmware 1.5 works best with my older Iphone 5s. newer firmware versions have some bugs with the older phone.

I've been using the Sena 20s for about three weeks now & I LOVE IT! I have it on a Nolan N104 EVO & it was a little work to get it on the helmet but well worth it! Phone calls have been crisp & clear up to 70 so far. Haven't been faster than that. People didn't even realize I was on the bike unless I pulled off hard. The FM radio works very well. So far I'd rate a 9.5/10 because nothing is perfect! Great job Sena!

how is the sticky tape doing holding the power unit ?
Mine sucks, the wife's is doing great. It greatly depends on the contour of the helmet. Seems as if the helmet has a flat surface where one can get full contact of the tape it is ok.
