Very Nice videos, but my goodness the music lol. I find swomack's easier to watch without the edited music added and just the music and sounds coming from the bike, JMHO. :)

Great idea for a thread. Found this right after I posted my latest video. It's a ride from May 29 on the AZ 191, the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway. Here's the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3yd6th1EUc

Let's get some dialogue going on what is working for you, too.
- What are you shooting with? (I'm using a GoPro Hero 3+, controlling it with the GoPro app on my iPhone.)

- What are you editing with? (I'm editing with Adobe Premiere Elements)

- If you're using a GoPro, what settings are you using? (I think I'm shooting at 1080p / 30fps on the medium FOV setting)

- When you upload, are you using the default YouTube upload settings, or have you found anything else that works better? (I edit, export as a 1080p mp4, then upload that file to YouTube, rather than share directly to YouTube. What is working best for you guys?)

- Has anyone found a way to be able to use decent music? (I've started keeping my own copy of videos with copyrighted music for my personal enjoyment, but YouTube won't allow copyrighted music on a video (understandably) - so I have to use boring public domain music. Any ideas?)

I have NO idea how to edit a video and I find mine long and boring as the remote doesn't always work so I have to actually get off the bike to start it and stop it. I find myself fast forwarding through the videos to get to the part I want to see.

But I will post two here just so you can see how nice the Go Pro worked being mounted on my fairing. Very little if any shake and noise. Just engine noise that sounds more like a knock. Not sure why. Mounted on my 2013 RGU fairing. I have lots of videos just need to try to edit them to cut out the boring stuff...

Cool idea to post the videos...I too just saw this thread and had posted on a earlier thread. Here's two recent videos I did and some info on how I filmed and edited them.

Best viewed in 1080HD

Black Hills Rally/Sturgis 75th https://youtu.be/dx8r6WVYm8Q

Rocky Mountain National Park https://youtu.be/fSuRTjL2LAA

Also check out Alex Chacon's Modern Motorcycle Diaries videos...Here's one he did...very inspiring!

- What are you shooting with? (I'm using a GoPro Hero 3+, controlling it with the GoPro app on my iPhone.) Using a GoPro 3 attached to a selfie stick that I have on a leash in case I have to drop suddenly! Low tech solution to incorporate different camera views as opposed to multiple camera mounts and the hassle of changing camera positions. I am also VERY cognizant of what's going in front of me and NOT the camera. I sort of just let it go on it's own since it is so wide angle and forgiving that way. Then I can just edit the best footage that's usable.

- What are you editing with? (I'm editing with Adobe Premiere Elements) These particular edits I just used iMovie Version 10 for the simplicity and time constraints. I have used Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro on other projects. It really depends on how much I want to do with the edit as far as transitions, graphics, sfx, etc.

- If you're using a GoPro, what settings are you using? (I think I'm shooting at 1080p / 30fps on the medium FOV setting) I used 1080p/60fps on med FOV for slow mo purposes when desired.

- When you upload, are you using the default YouTube upload settings, or have you found anything else that works better? (I edit, export as a 1080p mp4, then upload that file to YouTube, rather than share directly to YouTube. What is working best for you guys?) Just used the "share" feature at 1080p in iMovie.

- Has anyone found a way to be able to use decent music? What I typically do is do a search on YouTube for the song I want to use and if I can find a video already posted with that song used, then I figure it's good to go. You may have issues with some other countries being able to play and you will be notified of which countries can't play. It's always best to use Royalty Free, but I've had success with the aforementioned way.
